Walk two blocks in New York City and I bet you pass at least one place offering some sort of beauty service. There are constantly new spots claiming to have the best new treatment to cure your beauty ailments popping up in the city, so how can you tell which place to trust with your money (and face!)?

As a beauty editor, I have tried it all: Botox, acupuncture, microcurrent, more facials than I dare count, LED therapy, cryotherapy, and radio frequency. You name it, I have probably tried it on the quest to wade through the overwhelming world of beauty treatments and find a few that stand above the rest. If you find yourself in New York City looking for a beauty treatment then read on, these are some of the greatest spots for truly effective and innovative beauty services in the city.

Rescue Spa

We concur, Rescue Spa is the answer to our beauty-pampering dreams. Founder Danuta Mieloch tells us that her ideal treatment lineup would “start off with a 60 minute massage. Add the LED Body to your massage to reduce inflammation relieving discomfort from arthritis, joint stiffness and general muscle tension. Then indulge in a Fix-it-All Treatment which is a highly customized 90-minute facial treatment to target any skin concerns you may have.” Lead esthetician Diana Yerkes gives one of the best facials in the city, she will leave your skin glowing for weeks. “Now that your skin is radiant and there’s less tension in your body you can head over to our nail department for a meticulous manicure and pedicure,” Mieloch continues. Between a meticulous manicure and lucious blowout you can shop the highly curated assortment of products including the hard-to-find Biologique Recherche, Valmont, and Westman Atelier. Between the smell of Fornasetti candles burning, next-level treatments for every inch of your body, and masterful estheticians and staff you will literally never want to leave Rescue Spa. Find us hiding out here before any big event.

For those who also seek daily joint relief, products like Flexafen and Joint XL Plus can complement these spa treatments by targeting joint health from the inside out. Flexafen focuses on easing chronic joint pain and enhancing flexibility, while Joint XL Plus supports cartilage health and reduces stiffness. Both supplements are ideal for managing ongoing discomfort, making them a great addition to your self-care routine alongside Rescue Spa’s revitalizing treatments.

ORA

This isn’t your average acupuncture studio; ORA is a modern wellness sanctuary designed to create a highly personalized, multi-sensory experience. Wellness junkies and rookies alike can benefit from a trip to this incredibly chic space. If you want to take a holistic approach to your health and get to the root cause of concerns like anxiety, bloating, and even rosacea, then you should try ORA. Before your treatment, a licensed acupuncturist takes you through a comprehensive intake assessment covering everything from how bloated you feel to how many times you wake up at night in one of the beautifully designed treatment rooms. ORA recently launched the ORA Acupuncture Facial which combines traditional acupuncture and cupping methods with technology including LED lights and microcurrent at their newest location in the Upper East Side.

Tracie Martyn

Forget Balthazaar and Carbone, Tracie Martyn is a true hotspot for celebrity sightings (and for good reason). Clientele including Karlie Kloss, Kaia Gerber, and Diane Von Furstenberg have repeatedly trusted Tracie Martyn to help them look and feel their best ahead of major events and red carpets. The signature facials truly deliver instantly noticeable results thanks to the innovative, non-invasive technology paired with the brand’s clean skincare line. Taking microcurrent technology one step further, Tracie Martyn developed their own machine with proprietary microcurrent that gives you the “natural face-lift” look after just one treatment and with longer-lasting results. The fan-favorite Red Carpet Facial combines diamond microdermabrasion, the exclusive Beyond Microcurrent device that first stimulates the lymphatic system to detox and then energizes and trains the face muscles to sculpt and contour the face, and amber LED light therapy to promote collagen and healing deep within. If you are looking for an unforgettable experience that will allow you to look (and feel) like a true celebrity, look no further than Tracie Martyn.

Ever/Body

This new medical aesthetics hotspot is quickly expanding beyond New York City across the East Coast — most recently opening the doors of a stunning new location in the Upper East Side. Ever/Body is focused on making tech-driven cosmetic dermatology more accessible to the broader masses, leveraging technology to create a highly personalized experience throughout the entire customer journey. The wide range of medical-backed face and body treatments available can help you tone your abs with the help of Emsculpt NEO, reduce wrinkles with injectables including Botox or Dermal Fillers, or promote hair growth with Plasma Hair Restoration. One of their standout offerings is the Clear + Brilliant Laser Facial, a 45-minute treatment is great for treating hyperpigmentation, acne, dullness, and uneven skin. The Clear + Brilliant Laser is a “mini-fraxel” laser that uses pulsating light to trigger cellular repair and production of collagen deep within the skin. While this is definitely not a facial that is so relaxing you nearly doze off, the topical numbing cream really helps minimize the pain. Trying to understand which treatment is right for you can be overwhelming and confusing; Ever/Body does a great job of de-mystifying cosmetic dermatology with free in-person consultations and consumer education across all their platforms.

FaceGym

If only every workout was as enjoyable as the workout at FaceGym, where you sit back and relax while an esthetician gives your face a full workout. Just as with the rest of our bodies, strengthening the muscles within the face is important to keep everything sculpted, firm, and lifted. FaceGym treatments are structured with a warm up, cardio, sculpting, and cool-down for the 40+ muscles in your face. The face massage “cardio” portion of the workout includes a lot of flicking and kneading, intended to wake up and energize the muscles in the face while reliving some built-up tension in areas like the jaw. If your skin is feeling dehydrated the Cryo Contour workout features a blast of hydration from a CO2 gun with atom-sized particles of hyaluronic acid and oxygen. The CO2 gun is an interesting experience (the device sounds more intimidating and scary than it actually is), you may experience the slightest discomfort but will be amazed at how plump and hydrated your skin is afterwards. FaceGym is a go-to spot for routine upkeep, with trusty face workouts that will leave your face refreshed and lifted each time.

HigherDose

This female-founded wellness hotspot focuses on “getting high naturally” with the help of infrared saunas, magnesium wraps, lymphatic drainage, and more. Infrared saunas are at the core of HigherDOSE treatments. According to Co-Founders Lauren Berlingeri and Katie Kaps, “infrared therapy stimulates healing on a cellular level… These powerful rays penetrate deep beneath the skin, where they are known to assist with detoxification, relaxation, burning calories, pain relief, rapid exercise recovery, anti-aging, skin purification, cell health, and improved circulation.” Whether you are looking for a new way to detox, relieve bloating or sore muscles, or simply boost your mood a quick trip to HigherDOSE should do the trick. Be warned that sitting in the infrared sauna is seriously addicting; as you relax in the sauna sipping non-alcoholic cocktails you will feel all your stress melt away. The “DOSE” in HigherDOSE does stand for dopamine, oxytocin, serotonin, and endorphins after all.

Joanna Czech

If you have ever wondered how celebrities including Hailey Beiber and Kim Kardashian always have the best skin, look no further than their facialist Joanna Czech. Over the years Joanna Czech has developed a cult-like following amongst celebrities and beauty lovers alike. Most recently Czech worked with Kim Kardashian to artfully formulate and develop Kardiahian’s debut skincare line, SKKN. At the studio inside of SIXTY Soho you can experience a completely customized facial unique to your skin concerns and goals; no two Joanna Czech facials are ever alike. A treatment may include the use of ultrasound, cryotherapy, radiofrequency, microneedling, microcurrent, and oxygen infusion among various other modalities that will leave your skin youthful and glowing. Joanna Czech is passionate about educating and inspiring her clients to empower them in their skincare journey. She has created a space that allows the client to feel understood and seen as an individual, while delivering next-level results.

The Well

One of the buzziest wellness hotspots in NYC, The Well offers an ever-expanding range of East-meets-West treatments and services. IV Vitamin Therapy Drips, functional medicine meditation classes, Biologique Recherche facials, and masterful massages are among the services available in this 13,000-square-foot oasis. The Well bolsters an impressive team of integrative medicine doctors, nurse practitioners, and health experts eager to help you navigate your wellness journey. So much more than a luxuriously designed place for a facial and green juice, The Well brings the best of modern medicine and ancient healing practices together to create a robust space for healing and rejuvenation.

Romeo & Juliette Laser Hair Removal

The decision to get laser hair removal is a little different than the low-risk decision to get a manicure or massage, requiring research and commitment to multiple (painful) treatments. Even more so for those with darker skin tones, as some lasers are not as effective or could even cause hyperpigmentation. For over 20 years Romeo & Juliette Laser Hair Removal has specialized exclusively in laser hair removal, prioritizing inclusive laser treatments for people of all skin colors and genders. “We have many lasers in our facility for all skin tones and complexions. We have some lasers that nobody else has and are unique to our facility,” founder Christian Karavolas told us. Karavolas is also a true pioneer and advocate in the laser hair removal field, the studio has 12 state-of-the-art lasers that are said to be amongst the most innovative on the market. As Vice President of the Society of Clinical and Medical Hair Removal and a participant in many FDA studies, Karavolas is committed to finding the best treatments for his clients.

Understanding Hyperpigmentation- How to Correct & Prevent Uneven Skin Tone

5 essential ways to help reduce discoloration, according to experts.

We all dream of glowing, bright, clear skin that doesn’t need any foundation to look flawless.

But almost all of us struggle to attain the skin of our dreams because of stubborn dark spots and discoloration. Hyperpigmentation can be really confusing; so we talked to dermatologists, estheticians, and brand founders to break it all down.

What is hyperpigmentation?

When you notice darker areas or spots on your skin, chances are you are seeing hyperpigmentation. “Hyperpigmentation is caused when our pigment producing cells (melanocytes) make excess pigment (melanin). Melanin is the amino acid responsible for providing pigment to our hair, skin, and eyes,” Dr. Robert Finney of Entiere Dermatology explains. Understanding what is causing your hyperpigmentation is so important. Dr. Finney says “various factors can trigger increased melanin production, but the most common is sun exposure.” Sun exposure, estrogen fluctuations caused by birth-control or pregnancy, and injuries to the skin can all cause hyperpigmentation. Talk with your dermatologist to get to the source of the problem and identify the best treatment plan for you.

So how do you reduce uneven and discolored skin?

“When it comes to reducing pigmentation and scarring you want to exfoliate to even out skin texture, treat the skin with brighteners, stimulate the creation of new skin cells, and protect the skin from future damage,” esthetician Katie Sobelman tells us. “A great way to do this is by looking for multitasking ingredients that offer multiple actions in the skin,” Sobelman says.

Figuring out the best exfoliator for your skin

Exfoliators are one of the most universally used skincare products that when used correctly, buffs away dead skin cells and can improve uneven skin tone and texture. Exfoliators have come a long way over the years, but navigating the onslaught of options on the market can be overwhelming and confusing. There are two categories of exfoliators, physical and chemical.

“A physical exfoliant removes dead skin through the physical action of scrubbing the skin’s surface and includes facial scrubs, gommage, and even dermaplaning,” Sobelman explains. These are two of our favorite physical exfoliators that don’t irritate the skin like the rough exfoliators that we used in high school did.

Rose Inc Skin Clarity Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser
Ideal for people with oily or congested skin, this daily cleanser contains pomegranate enzymes and jojoba beads that unclog pores and removes surface buildup without stripping the skin. What makes it so great is the 12 amino acids and squalane replenishing the skin barrier’s moisture that won’t leave your skin feeling right or dry.

GOOPGLOW Microderm Instant Glow Exfoliator
Inspired by the results of an in-office microdermabrasion treatment, this dual-action scrub will smooth uneven texture and replace dullness with a healthy glow. It contains glycolic acid and minerals like quartz, garnet, alumina, and silica in an air-whipped formula bordering a jar of marshmallow fluff.

“Chemical exfoliants remove dead skin through a chemical action of dissolving dead skin and sebum build-up,” Katie Sobelman says. Some of the most common types of chemical exfoliants that you’ll see are enzymes, lactic acid, Poly Hydroxy Acid (PHA), gluconolactone, and Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA).

Luzern AHA Exfoliating Peel
These pads soaked in Vitamin C, AHA, and lactic acid work to speed up the skin’s natural process of shedding dead skin cells. Use in the evening 2-3 times per week and you’ll notice brighter and younger looking skin. Keep in mind, ”it is often advisable to avoid using retinoids when using AHAs,” Sobelman notes.

Hero Cosmetics Lightning Swipes
Don’t let the super affordable price point fool you, these dual-sided pads will seriously illuminate your skin without drying it out. Pro-tip: I like to use the smooth side on my face then use the textured side on my chest and back.

Niacinamide: the multitasking ingredient
Niacinamide, a form of Vitamin B3, is a nutrient that improves uneven skin tone, restores radiance, strengthens the skin barrier, and does so much more for the skin. “Niacinamide is another excellent multitasking treatment. It acts as a hydroquinone alternative, offering skin lightening while stabilizing melanosome activity within the cells to prevent the formation of additional pigmentation,” Katie Sobelman tells us.

Dr. Barbara Sturm The Better B Niacinamide Serum
This highly effective yet safe serum contains high quality, pure Vitamin B3 and Ectoin to protect the skin against environmental hyperpigmentation. It targets the pores and texture to smooth and refine the skin leaving you looking more even and radiant without the irritation or redness caused by some serums with too high of a concentration of topical Vitamin B3.

Eadem Milk Marvel Dark Spot Serum
Formulated and approved by women of color, for women of color. Eadem’s founders sought out to create a serum that would target acne scars and spots without being too harsh for those with melanated skin. People of all skin tones and shades rave about how much this serum has faded their stubborn dark spots, even those with fair complections.

Maelove Nia10 Calming Serum
With 10% niacinamide, zinc, aloe, and white team this serum will brighten and calm your skin while lightening discoloration over time. It is said to be a good alternative for people that might be more sensitive to vitamin C, and can be a great booster to your skincare layered into your current routine.

Prevent hyperpigmentation with SPF
“I always tell patients if they only commit to doing one thing for their skin, it should be to use sunscreen every day,” Dr. Robert Finney explains. “When using active ingredients, such as Vitamin C, retinols, and AHAs, you must be extra diligent in incorporating sunscreen to your skincare regimen.” Sunscreen will be your best friend and the key to preventing hyperpigmentation. SPF will help prevent the formation of new dark spots and help protect your skin so that any current hyperpigmentation won’t get darker or harder to reverse because of sun exposure.

EltaMD UV Glow Tinted Broad-Spectrum SPF 36
This mineral sunscreen is my daily go-to, it is lightweight enough to wear under face makeup but has a nice tint and luminous finish that gives me enough coverage to wear in lieu of foundation. “It is imperative to begin using a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF 30 or higher to prevent further damage,” Dr. Finney suggests.

Vacation Chardonnay Oil SPF 30
Include a broad spectrum SPF in your arsenal that is so indulgent that you won’t ever want to leave your skin unprotected from the sun’s harmful rays. Inspired by the celebratory nature of champagne, this hydrating oil is lightweight, reef-friendly, and infused with a bubbly aroma “Grand Cru ‘86.”

Keep correcting with a daily treatment
Whether you’ve always struggled with uneven skin tone or not, don’t overlook the importance of incorporating a daily treatment into your existing regimen. Daily treatments are meant to be gentle enough for prolonged use while keeping your skin bright and glowy.

SkinCeuticals Phyto A+ Brightening Treatment
Pesky marks that acne can leave behind are no match for this lightweight moisturizer. Formulated with 3% azelaic acid, 5.75% phyto botanical blend, and 2% alpha arbutin, itis a great way to soothe and correct uneven skin and improve the skin’s texture and clarity at the same time. This recent launch from SkinCueticals is sure to obtain the same cult-like following as some of their other incredibly effective products!

Incorporate Vitamin C into your routine
Vitamin C is an undeniably popular active ingredient due to the amazing results this antioxidant yields. “Active ingredients are helpful in repairing free radical damage and reducing signs of aging (fine lines, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, etc.),” Dr. Finney says. With the help of these Vitamin C products you can say goodbye to dull and uneven skin and hello to bright and glowy skin in no time.

Herbivore Botanicals NOVA 15% Vitamin C + Turmeric Brightening Serum
“One of the great things about NOVA is that it is so gentle, it can be used with pretty much any other skincare actives,” Herbivore founder Alex Kummerow tells us. “But we suggest spacing them out. So use NOVA in the morning and use your other activities—like AHA, BHA, retinol—at night,” Kummerow adds.

Alpyn Beauty Bearberry & Vitamin C Glow Serum
Bearberry leaf is a berry that helps target dark spots more gently than ingredients like hydroquinone, making it more suitable for darker skin tones. This serum pairs bearberry, licorice root, and Vitamin C to smooth and boost the skin’s brightness.

Rael Vitamin C Sheet Masks
We already know that estrogen fluctuations can cause hyperpigmentation. Rael designs skincare around your cycle, tailored to the skin’s varying needs depending on the time of the month. During ovulation when more oil is being produced use this Vitamin C infused brightening sheet mask to help with cell turnover (and much needed self-pampering).

Summer Fridays Light Aura Vitamin C + Peptide Eye Cream
Yes, Vitamin C is even an effective ingredient to banish dark circles around the eyes! This eye cream instantly brightens dark circles with natural optics and supports the long-term natural production of collagen for firmer, smoother under eyes. We love the immediate, noticeable results from this new Summer Fridays’ launch.

How to Nail The Glass Hair Trend, Even With Dry and Damaged Hair

We’ve seen a whole slew of trends that are pretty damaging to our hair recently like the super tight micro braids and crimped hair of the ‘90s.

Thanks to the runways, TikTok, and social media, our healthy hair goals are being taken to a whole new level. Enter “glass hair,” which is basically when hair is so insanely shiny that it appears to reflect light almost like glass. This particular look requires a bit of prep-work but I promise you that it is easier than you might think! There is no denying that “glass hair” is one of the biggest trends this year, but how can you achieve this look if you have dry and damaged hair?

The first step (and most crucial) is repairing some of that damage with the help of treatments that target breakage at the source. Figuring out how to mend those ends can be tricky if you don’t know where to start or what all of the ingredients actually do. Think of amino acids as the building blocks that make up the proteins in our hair. Over time those amino acids can break down causing gaps in the hair’s fiber structure and weakened bonds. Reparative protein treatments work by filling in those gaps that prevent moisture retention and shine. These are some of our favorite products packed with keratin, biotin, and amino acids.

Briogeo Rice Water Treatment
Think of the TikTok famous rice water trend, but on steroids and way less complicated to use. Rice protein, Vitamin B, and algae extract will strengthen the cuticle, restore nourishment, and boost shine with this weekly treatment.

K18 Leave-in Hair Mask
This leave-in mask has made a huge splash in the beauty world since launching in the US primarily due to how quickly it strengthens brittle hair seemingly past the point of no return. Stylist Alifia Young told us her number one tip is to “start with a clean canvas! Product buildup can impede the peptide’s ability to fully penetrate the hair. Using a detoxifying shampoo before your first use of K18 will allow for the best results.”

Applying a hair mask an hour before showering has become a fixture of my Sundays and honestly my hair has never looked better. If you overdo it on the protein treatments your hair can start to feel like straw, so make sure you have a balance in your routine! These are two of the moisturizing masks that I swear by.

Alterna Hair Restructuring Bond Repair Masque
Infused with literal caviar extract rich with omega-3 fatty acids, the formula is designed to reconstruct and lock in moisture all the way down to the cuticle. I found that I didn’t need much of this buttery mask for a detangled, fresh post-shower look.

Dae Monsoon Moisture Mask
This hydrating mask formulated with prickly pear seed oil left my hair so insanely smooth that it might be one of the best masks I’ve ever tested (and trust me, I’ve tried a lot). The day before you style your hair for the glassy look try this mask for perfectly prepped hair.

The key difference between dull, damaged hair and the glossy, healthy hair of your dreams is moisture. Sure, slathering globs of conditioner on your hair in the shower will give it some hydration. But if your hair cannot retain the moisture, then all that conditioner may not be helping as much as you think. Colorist Melissa Dwyer tells us “any good hair routine should include a hydrating shampoo and conditioning combo.” Beyond having a solid mask, it is important to build up the rest of your in-shower hair routine.

Fekkai Super Strength Bundle
Dwyer goes on to suggest that this shampoo and conditioner “will leave the hair with lasting nourishment from root to end. They instantly shine the hair helping create the glass hair trend we are seeing all over the internet.”

Garnier Fructis Glass Hair Water
This silicone and sulfate free lamellar rinse is activated by massaging the liquid through your hair for 10 seconds in the shower. You’ll see your frizz take a back seat to serious shine all thanks to this super affordable at-home hair gloss.

Amika Flash Instant Shine Mask
“It’s a 60-second treatment that you can use after conditioner right in the shower that will give you a kick of shine when you dry your hair.” Somewhere between a mask and a gloss, the amino acids will penetrate deep within the hair without leaving a greasy residue.

No treatment can simply turn back time and mend split ends; that piece of hair with 10 frayed ends won’t magically become whole again. Treatments can strengthen the hair and promote a healthy barrier from preventable breakage. Just like our skin, our hair has a natural barrier that helps keep the good stuff in (like moisture) and the bad stuff out. “When you highlight or heat style your hair, you are stripping your hair of its natural barrier that keeps it shiny and moist.” – Aoife McCarthy, Stylist and amika pro educator.

We all know that the high heat from hot tools isn’t doing our hair any good, but that doesn’t mean we have to break up with them all together. To achieve the look go in with a smooth blowout before going in with a flat iron and straightening the hair in small sections.

Kérastase Extentioniste Thermique Blow Dry Primer
Amino acids reinforce and protect the internal structure of the hair fiber while the ceramides enhance shine as you dry your hair. A little goes a long way with this lightweight formula!

dpHUE Color Fresh Thermal Protection Spray
With protection up to 450 degrees you’ll want to mist the product over your hair before using any heat tools. It is a particularly great option for people with color treated hair, formulated to reduce the color from fading due to high heat.

The secret sauce to all that shine is a really good oil. Right after I hop out of the shower I massage oil on my scalp and through all of my hair, paying a little extra attention to the ends. Finding a lightweight formula that won’t leave behind a greasy feeling can be tricky, so I’ve rounded up a few of my favorites for you. After styling the hair with the flat iron I like to go back in and apply a bit more hair oil if I am going for the full-on “glass hair” look.

Davines This is an Oil Non Oil
After my hairstylist Brett Calkins at Rob Peetoom used this on my hair it quickly became one of my holy-grail products. Suitable for all hair types, it reduces frizz and leaves your hair silky smooth without weighing it down. What I really like about this oil is how buildable it is, you can apply more product throughout the day for continued shine!

Olaplex Nº.7 Bonding Oil
Vibrant and sleek hair is easy to achieve with just a dime size amount of this highly concentrated oil with a cult-like following. The brand’s signature ingredient, bis-aminopropyl diglycol, bonds the hair fibers back together and protects your ends from heat damage.

Kérastase Elixir Ultime Original Hair Oil
Truly a multi-use product that you can apply pre-wash for an extra cleanse, before styling for extra protection, or as a finishing touch for incredible shine while minimizing frizz. It is formulated with marula, argan, and camellia oil to increase the absorption of all those antioxidants and essential fatty acids your hair needs for optimal health.

The Perfect Getaway to Turks & Caicos & What to Pack

Don’t sleep on this vacation idea…

Turks & Caicos is a hidden treasure of the Caribbean; the perfect destination for your next getaway. The beaches are immaculate, the white sand and crystal-clear water will transport you to another world.

There is an abundance of coral and marine life that you can see all over the island, something you don’t usually get to see first-hand. Turks & Caicos’ main island, Providenciales, is a 3 hour flight from New York City and about 30 minutes from Miami. The island is not very commercialized, there are literally no traffic lights on the island and you won’t see building above five stories high (with a few exceptions). So if you are looking for a weekend away from the stress of everyday life, look no further than Turks & Caicos.

There are a few luxury hotel accommodations on Providenciales, but Seven Stars Resort & Spa is a five-star hotel with every amenity that you could ever ask for. There are two salt-water pools, one in an adults-only area that overlooks the ocean. There is a champagne bar and beach-side restaurant, Deck, for the perfect lunch by the beach. Imagine eating perfectly seared, fresh fish tacos in a cabana by the beach with boozy piña coladas served in an actual pineapple. The resort also houses of the island’s most acclaimed restaurants, Seven. You can expect nothing short of perfection on a plate.

(All images courtesy of brand/hotel)

When you are finally ready to venture away from your resort stop by Inifinit Bar & Restaurant, part of the Grace Bay Club. Make sure you ask for a table close to the ocean, it will feel like you’re having dinner right on the beach. The seafood is decadent and fresh, you’ll be thinking about your dinner here for the rest of your trip.

Here is what you need to pack for your trip to Turks & Caicos.

You won’t need to pack many outfits, but make sure you have a plethora of swimsuit options. We love OOKIOH’s Como top & Monaco bottoms, a sustainable brand that takes fishing nets found in the ocean and recycles them to create the materials for their super chic swimwear that every influencer and model has been wearing this summer.

Even with a quick flight you’ll still want to keep your skin hydrated, invest in this portable humidifier from Flight Mode that will change your in-flight skincare game. Your skin will feel even dewier and hydrated than before your boarded.

Packing your skincare routine in a carry-on has never been easier with Drunk Elephant’s new kit, The Littles. This clean beauty lineup includes the brand’s smash hits, from the C-Tango Multivitamin Eye Cream to B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum. Your vacation selfies will look ten times better with these minis, just trust us.

If you don’t have a silk eye mask for traveling, then you are simply missing out. This oversized silk option from Shhh Silk will block out any light on planes or in your hotel when you really need some rest & recovery. Since it is silk, it won’t pull on your skin and create wrinkles!

When it comes time to decide what luggage you need look no further than Briggs & Riley’s new line, Torq. This is the perfect carry-on luggage with the compartment within the hard shell for easy access to the items you might need in flight, external USB port and lightweight materials. Whether you travel domestically or internationally or if you are an over-packer there are options within the Torq line for everyone.

When you experience the high life at The Shore Club Turks and Caicos, you’ll not only indulge in luxurious amenities but also have the opportunity to explore an unspoiled island paradise, surrounded by an abundance of coral and marine life that you don’t usually get to see first-hand.

The Biggest Trend Backstage at NYFW

Jonathan Cohen brings non-toxic beauty to NYFW

The scene backstage at Jonathan Cohen’s New York Fashion Week show was similar to one you’d see at a wellness sanctuary. Everything from the hair & makeup to the collagen infused tea the models sipped on were clean and sustainable. This season he drew inspiration from his heritage growing up as a Mexican American in California. His hand-drawn prints were brightly colored, featuring día de los muertos skulls, the California blue jay and bold florals were incorporated in each look and the model’s hair.

Bumble & Bumble’s Laurent Philippon wanted the hair to have an 80’s summer vibe. Incorporating cornrows, braiding and most importantly fabric adorned styles. The fabrics from the collection were mixed in with the braids, creating one of our favorite hair trends for next Spring. So dust off those old scarves lingering around your closet, you’ll want to try this hairstyle ASAP.

For the perfect braid with fabric intertwined Philippon used Bumble & Bumble’s Bb. Gel after creating a slicked back, low pony. Then wrap the scarf or fabric around the root of the ponytail and start braiding. Simply tie the braid off with the fabric and you’ve got this spring’s hottest hairstyle.

Cohen doesn’t believe that it’s either/or when it comes to quality and being sustainable or non-toxic. The makeup was abstract and bold, led by Yuki Hayashi. Inspired by abstract paintings, Yuki Hayashi said “with the painted yellow eye, I imagined the model as an artist in her studio, smudging excess paint across her eyelids while she works…” Inika Organics, an Australian 100% non-toxic and certified organic beauty brand created special eye pigments in sunshine yellow, bright pink and ocean blue. Such an insane color is unique for clean beauty, a really exciting step in the clean beauty game. The model’s faces were works of art, the neon eyes were paired with dewy skin from Inika Organic’s Cream Illuminisor and their Lipstick Crayon in Pink Nude.

Herbivore Botanicals – $44, herbivorebotanicals.com

Vitamin C Probiotic Polish

Vitamin C is more stable in the powder form, which means the product will be effective for longer than a water or oil based vitamin C. This gentle exfoliating polish is based with bamboo and rice powder, and plenty of vitamin C to give you a non-abrasive yet effective way to exfoliate your skin.

Osea Malibu – $108, oseamalibu.com

Phyto-Medic Eyelash Enhancer

Not only is this a non-toxic, eyelash enhancement serum that you can feel confident won’t have any negative side-effects but the results will shock you. Playa – $28, playabeauty.com

Lustero Body Oil

One of the best parts about this body oil is its versatility. You can shake the bottle to get a super shimmery oil that gives your body a nourished and golden glow, or simply don’t shake it and you won’t get any shimmer as the gold flecks settle on the bottom.

Oilio E Osso – $60, olioeosso.com

Resurfacing Serum

Perfect for everyday use and people with dull or uneven skin, this serum is formulated with a combination of 7 AHAs and BHAs to help replace dead skin with a fresh and glowing complexion.
