Zales hosted an exclusive cocktail party at Double Chicken Please in New York’s Lower East Side.

Hosted by actress Halle Bailey, the celebration ushered in the next era of Zales with the brand’s “Own It” campaign launch with many notables in attendance, including Ella Hunt, Hari Nef, Pritika Swarup, who were all wearing Zales. Other dressed guests included Vienna Sky, Kelly Stanick, Jenee Naylor, Kaki Kirk, Judy Kam, Carolyn Estephany and DJ Meg Smith.

Throughout the night, Bailey welcomed guests into the party and encouraged them to try on jewels scattered through the venue– in champagne coupe towers, on concrete pedestals and more. Zales’ new product assortment on display debuted a shift in design with unique, trend-driven collections with Stellar Allure and Whimly by Zales along with Zales Essentials. Behind the DJ booth was Rising Pop Artist Meg Smith, who DJ’d as guests were encouraged to own the moment with polaroid cameras scattered throughout the venue, in front of a fun newsworthy step-and-repeat, and more. Guests were also able to create their own takeaway at the Candy Bar. Lastly, specialty craft cocktails and passed appetizers that Double Chicken Please is known for were served throughout the evening.

Elie Saab’s Bridal Spring Summer 2026 collection is a testament to why the Lebanese designer has dressed everyone from royalty to Oscar winners. His latest offering, “The Line of Beauty,” transforms the traditional wedding gown into something that feels more like museum-worthy sculpture brought to life.

Taking in the ethereal beauty of these creations, I’m struck by how Saab—who began his career specializing in bridal couture at just 18 years old—continues to evolve his signature aesthetic while maintaining the luxurious craftsmanship that’s defined his work since the early 1980s.

Classical Forms Reimagined

The collection presents as a gallery of sculptural forms that seem to capture movement within stillness. An ivory ballgown reveals subtle floral appliqués that appear to blossom organically from the fabric. Crystalline column dresses offer glimpses of skin through strategic sheerness, with off-shoulder sleeves creating a sense of graceful suspension.

What particularly caught my eye was a bell-shaped sweetheart gown that incorporates an abundance of organza flowers, sequins, and pearls—signature elements for Saab, whose embroidery work with Swarovski crystals and pearls has been central to his designs throughout his career. Iwalked into the INSIDE TAG and PUMA showcase with fond memories of the original Mostro from 1999. What I encountered was a thoughtful revival that honors its revolutionary heritage while confidently stepping into the future.

The original PUMA Mostro turned heads upon its 1999 debut, disrupting the footwear landscape with its distinctive spiked outsole and unconventional strap closure system. Those design elements weren’t just aesthetic choices—they represented a bold departure from conventional sneaker design.

Fast forward to 2004, when PUMA revisited the original Mostro sketches to create the Ur Mostro. This iteration pushed boundaries even further with exaggerated spikes, ventilated mesh panels on the upper, and sturdy leather construction. The Ur wasn’t just an update; it was an amplification of everything that made the original so distinctive.

What INSIDE TAG has accomplished with this archival rework feels both respectful and forward-thinking. The premium leather upper sits atop a wide-looped mesh underlay, creating a honeycomb-like pattern that, interestingly, develops uniquely on each individual shoe. This organic evolution of the pattern means no two pairs are identical—a subtle nod to individuality in a mass-produced world.

The technical aspects remain impressive. Enhanced lugs on the outsole provide superior grip, while aged TPU components reflect INSIDE TAG’s dedication to research and curation principles. I particularly appreciated the elongated rear heel tab—a practical feature designed to catch trouser cuffs, demonstrating how functionality can enhance style.

The color stories tell their own narrative. The “Warm White / Light Straw” offers a subdued elegance, while the “Haute Coffee / PUMA Black” provides a bolder statement. Both colorways feature PUMA’s iconic leaping cat logo in contrasting hues, creating a perfect visual anchor.
