Each look carried its own point of view, yet together they formed a cohesive narrative of bold individuality. The styling struck a balance between refinement and spontaneity, allowing garments to move with intention while still feeling expressive and alive.

Photographers Raquel Barbosa, Alex Callejo, Jigna Maniar, Thanawat Chuvanichanon, and Benzo B, alongside the videography team led by Mariya Nicole, captured the energy of the collection as it unfolded; fabrics in motion, silhouettes cutting against the blue horizon, and moments of drama illuminated by winter light.

URBAN DIAMONDS

URBAN DIAMONDS Jewelry with BACK BONE SOCIETY

Carina Karhu, founder of Urban Diamonds, transforms fragments of the city into jewelry with soul. Based in rural Petajavesi, Finland, her work is shaped by the contrast between urban energy and quiet focus, structure, and spontaneity. After leaving a career in management, Carina followed a long-held fascination with jewelry, metalwork, and symbolism, finding her creative turning point through graffiti and its raw, expressive power.

Her latest Urban Diamonds collection is defined by its material: real pieces of graffiti that have fallen from city walls, layered over decades by countless anonymous artists. Cracks, pigments, and weathered textures are left intact, allowing each fragment to dictate the final form.

Alexis Bittar FW26 New York Fashion Week Presentation https://fashionweekonline.com/alexis-bittar-fw26-new-york-fashion-week-presentation Tue, 24 Feb 2026 06:46:28 +0000 https://fashionweekonline.com/?p=260483 For the third consecutive season, designer, director, and ultimate disruptor Alexis Bittar presents his Fall Winter 2026 Accessories Collection at New York Fashion Week through an immersive live performance – continuing his radical reimagining of how fashion is experienced, not merely observed.

In an industry built on polish and perfection, Bittar thrives at the volatile intersection of art, fashion and social commentary. This season, Bittar not only questions society’s fixation with explicit true crime documentaries, but discusses the fine lines that exist within the public discord, all through a cinematic high-fashion lens. Are we witnessing a 1990s vigilante or unearthing New York’s first female serial killer?

Alexis Bittar

The FW26 show is a live re-enactment of Bittar’s viral mockumentary social media series – The Sexecutions of Amanda Gates, co-directed by the critically acclaimed, Klimovski. The fictional protagonist, Amanda Gates, played by Jazzelle, is a multi faceted murderer, seeking revenge by hunting down, seducing and killing known violent male sexual offenders who have repeatedly evaded prosecution.

Much like The Eyes of Laura Mars and Saatchi’s The Sensation Exhibition, at the time, Bittar’s experiential FW26 presentation is a commentary on our obsession with true crime and simultaneously discusses society’s broken systems – spotlighting how powerful, high profile, high net worth men are seemingly immune to retribution and justice.

The show’s audience is lured into a seedy, fictitious Midtown New York City hotel room set in the renegade 1990s. Traveling from a curated evidence viewing room into an eerily lit theater, guests witness a reenactment produced for the true crime documentary, The Sexecutions of Amanda Gates, and are confronted with Bittar’s darkly captivating heroine, caught mid-act in a moment of deadly seduction. Adding an unsettling layer of voyeurism, the scene is captured by the documentary’s cameraman, projecting the murderous act onto a surreal window overlooking the squalid hotel room – exposing everything, for everyone to witness.

I’m more interested in building worlds people can escape into,” says Alexis Bittar. “Worlds filled with complex characters, diversity, and uncomfortable truths—where jewelry isn’t the point, but the punctuation.

Working closely with acclaimed choreographer Celia Rowlson Hall, Bittar brings his theatrical vision to life in a performance that is equal parts noir, nostalgia, and fashion. In an era defined by fleeting attention spans, Bittar once again proves that luxury can be both subversive and deeply cinematic.

Working with Alexis has been so very exciting. He has a daring vision that is timely, challenging, and necessary. Through simple choreography of a restaged murder for a true crime documentary, we wanted to investigate the varying emotions that might go through this vigilante killer’s mind before and after the murder. The provocative and graphic nature of the work is meant to challenge injustices and expose systemic oppression. It reflects the state of crisis we are living in today.” States Celia Rowlson Hall

THE FW26 COLLECTION In the ‘evidence’ viewing room, Bittar highlights key pieces, exquisitely handcrafted statement necklaces, sculptural earrings, signature stacked bangles, and jewel-laden handbags, displayed on seemingly floating black pedestals marked by evidence cards.

This season, artistry and function move as one. Surrealist zip collars and 14k gold–plated serpents coil around leather clutches, transforming into sculptural hand-through hardware; at once ornament and instrument, seduction and utility. Throughout the collection, Bittar’s designs are a celebration of fluidity, strength, and modern glamour. Deco cut crystals and Brutalist spirals shape a luminous evolution of the Brand’s signature aesthetic. Bittar’s signature handcrafted Liquid Lucite features prominently, alongside molten gold and high-shine rhodium finishes. Together, they create movement, tension, and depth, refracting light with dramatic precision. Masterfully handmade and crafted to endure, these pieces are conceived as future classics, meant to be worn, collected, and revisited season after season.

DISCLAIMER The presentation is a fictional, artistic performance. All scenes are staged and performed by professionals for creative expression only; no real harm is depicted or intended. The performance is not an endorsement of violent behavior. Alexis Bittar does not condone violence, abuse, or harm in any form.

ABOUT ALEXIS BITTAR

Alexis Bittar is a self-taught jewelry designer who grew his business from the streets of Brooklyn to a global company, fusing art & fashion with ad campaigns that have earned him some of the most acclaimed awards the fashion industry has to offer.

For over 30 years Bittar’s signature avant garde designs have garnered him a cult following of fearless trailblazers with the gamut spanning the likes of Beyoncé, Dua Lipa, Julia Fox, Michelle Obama, Iris Apfel, Lady Gaga, Megan Thee Stallion, FKA Twigs, Tyla, Halsey, Cher, Madonna and Lola Young all choosing to repeatedly wear his pieces.

In 2015 Bittar sold his business and stepped away from his namesake Brand to focus on raising his twins and his philanthropic work. He soon returned, buying his company back from Brooks Brothers in 2021. Since reacquiring the Brand, Bittar expanded his accessories empire by launching his highly anticipated line of handbags and opening freestanding boutiques across New York.

Through his award-winning social media campaign, The Bittarverse, Bittar’s skits have included celebrity cameo appearances by Law Roach, Susan Sarandon, Iman, Eric Archibald, Arianne Phillips & Amy Sedaris and many more.

In 2025 Bittar conceived and directed his first Documentary, the critically acclaimed Reclaim The Flag, which he co-produced with Academy Award winning Producer Bruce Cohen. The short film brought together 50+ luminaries from the LGBTQ+ community to discuss reclaiming the American flag as a symbol of unity rather than division.

Bittar’s Industry awards include Accessory Designer of the Year at the 2010 CFDA Fashion Awards, and the Accessories Council of Excellence (ACE) Award for Brand of the year (2014) & (2024). In 2024 Bittar’s Bittarverse with Margeaux & Jules, won the Webby Award for Best Social Content Series. Bittar has collaborated with Fashion Houses such as Burberry, Michael Kors, Mugler, Phillip Lim and Jeremy Scott.

ABOUT ‘THE SEXECUTIONS OF AMANDA GATES’ SERIES

Bittar’s latest campaign, The Sexecutions of Amanda Gates, merges two of society’s guiltiest pleasures, which have yet to be merged and explored in Fashion Marketing —true crime and high fashion—filtered through Bittar’s unmistakably satirical lens. Set in early ’90s Brooklyn, the mockumentary unspools the mythos of Amanda Gates, a darkly glamorous yet deranged fictional serial killer portrayed by Uglyworldwide (Jazzelle). Told through “unearthed” faux documentary footage, the series reimagines Gates’ rise and fall with re-enactments & interviews with her therapist (played by Emmy Nominee Jackie Hoffman), her best friend (Internet Ingenue Taryn Delanie Smith), her mother (Nightlife legend Dianne Brill) and Lead Detective (Actor Lisa Ferreira). The series is equal parts noir, nostalgia, and couture. The series is co-directed by Klimovski.

Boy London https://fashionweekonline.com/boy-london Sun, 22 Feb 2026 08:13:36 +0000 https://fashionweekonline.com/?p=260394 Can Tran is a fashion executive and creative director with over 20 years of experience across luxury retail, wholesale, and brand building.

He is currently CEO and Creative Director of BOY London America, leading the brand’s new chapter in the U.S. with a modernized punk vision and disciplined tailoring.

Boy London

Q: Boy London has remained an iconic symbol of rebellion and street culture for decades — how do you balance honoring your heritage while evolving for a new generation of fashion Consumers?

It was a monumental task to even think I could help shape the future of BOY, but I knew from the beginning that we couldn’t start building without understanding the past. We spent months buried in research, with help from industry leaders, archivists and professors from schools like FIT, ASU FIDM, OTIS. From there, we thought, what would it look like in better fabrication, dressier, darker, more modern?

Q: What role does global streetwear culture play in shaping your current collections, and which cities or communities are influencing the brand most right now?

I think the idea of what streetwear is/was, has always shifted over the decades. I’d like to think that we are blending formal wear and streetwear in a way that makes BOY accessible to the old fans and the new. Of course, the punk, underground, goth, and rap communities are an inspiration to us.

Q: Fashion cycles are moving faster than ever — how does Boy London maintain authenticity while staying relevant in today’s rapidly changing fashion landscape?

The impact of the original BOY ideas and designs to fashion has not been discussed enough, by honoring the past we can build the future. The shift to creating pieces out of better fabrication as well as adding timeless suiting/dress wear, hopefully, creates a timeless depth that fans will enjoy for years to come.

Q: Are there any upcoming collaborations, creative directions, or brand evolutions that signal the next chapter for Boy London?

We were approached by many people about collaborations leading up to this. Although very grateful at the idea, I ultimately decided not to pursue any collaborations so that we could show the collection as we intended without outside influence. We were also developing many other pieces in other categories that did not make the show, we hope that the fans continue to enjoy the world we are building.

Q: How do you see the intersection between luxury fashion and streetwear evolving, and where does Boy London position itself within that conversation?

Like the times we live in, the world is in a polarized state. You see this in fashion as well, the wider divide of unattainable luxury vs repetitive fast fashion. I believe there is a way to make beautiful clothing with premium fabrics without pricing out the fans. It’s a lot of work but we aim to do this, both in thoughtful design and careful selections on the production side. The audience will have to decide how we are thought of.

Q: Social media has transformed brand storytelling — how is Boy London using digital platforms to connect with both longtime fans and new audiences worldwide?

We are revamping our website WWW.BOYLONDON.COM, updating our IG:BOYLONDONAMERICA and adding other platforms that make sense. We have created some amazing content that we have been waiting to release in alignment with the launch of this collection. Stay tuned.

Q: What does the future vision of Boy London look like over the next 3–5 years, especially in terms of creative identity, community engagement, and global expansion?

We will continue to build the world with intention, honor the archival work, create original silhouettes, with a design-led approach. We have already started ideation on many other categories (didn’t finish in time for the show). As we continue to roll out the collection, we are excited to hear from the community.

To be clear, we are BOY LONDON AMERICA and it can only be found in America for now.

Kate Barton Fall/Winter 2026 Runway Show NYFW https://fashionweekonline.com/kate-barton-fall-winter-2026-runway-show-nyfw Sat, 21 Feb 2026 09:54:19 +0000 https://fashionweekonline.com/?p=260303 Kate Barton continues to settle into a deliberate rhythm within the New York Fashion Week calendar.

A runway show each September, followed by a February presentation, has become both a pragmatic and creative framework for the brand. Beyond logistical and financial considerations, this cadence allows Barton to use the presentation format as a laboratory: a space to test ideas around storytelling, technology, and consumer engagement in ways that extend beyond the runway moment.

Kate Barton

At the heart of the Fall/Winter 2026 presentation is a continued refinement of the brand’s core DNA. Rather than introducing a new theme each season. Barton always allows her established language to deepen and expand. Metal illusions are integrated with precision this season, serving as considered accents that draw attention to the intricacy of pattern and, in particular, the nuance of draping. Draping becomes central, not decorative but structural, shaping the body through tension, release, and movement. Signature techniques and sculptural forms are realized in rich materials such as cashmere and fine merino wool, lending depth, weight, and softness while allowing the folds and contours of the fabric to fully articulate themselves.

For Barton, experimentation has never been about novelty; it has been about understanding. This season reads as a moment of distillation, a narrowing in order to go deeper. The silhouettes feel intentional, guided by the way fabric falls and responds to the body. The materials feel more intimate, chosen for how they move as much as how they appear. It suggests a designer thinking not just about image, but about sensation: how cloth gathers at the waist, how weight shifts across the shoulders, how a garment accompanies a day in motion. In that sense, the collection becomes more a reflection of where she stands now.

Technology has long been embedded in the brand’s visual and conceptual universe, and this season Barton pushes further on ideas first introduced last year. Today’s installation unfolds across multiple layers, deliberately blurring the boundary between what is real and what is simulated. Real garments, worn by a real model, are filmed against AI generated backdrops. The garments remain tangible and physical, while their environment slips into something fluid and unstable. This tension is intentional. Barton uses technology not as spectacle, but as a way to heighten questions of perception, authorship, and reality that already exist within her work.

That dialogue becomes interactive through Fiducia AI’s newly unveiled SpeedShotX Visual AI Lens. Built with IBM watsonx, IBM Cloud and IBM Object Storage, the enterprise innovation transforms the mobile browser into an intelligent and personalized engagement surface. By snapping a picture, guests can access contextual insights about individual looks and pieces from the collection. The experience turns passive viewing into active exploration, extending the presentation beyond observation and into participation.

Guests are also invited to engage through hyper realistic digital try ons, using AI powered virtual fitting technology that allows select looks from the collection to be experienced directly on the body in real time. The technology emphasizes realism and precision, reinforcing Barton’s interest in using digital tools to support, rather than replace, physical craft.

Across materiality, draping, technology, and business strategy, Barton’s work is guided by a consistent instinct to experiment. She approaches fashion as an evolving system: testing new techniques in construction, new modes of storytelling, new forms of customer engagement, and new pathways to commercialization, all while maintaining a singular visual language. With an eye firmly on the future, Barton continues to build a brand that is not driven by novelty, but by sustained curiosity and thoughtful evolution.

PUBLIC SERV-CE Fall/Winter 2026 Runway Show NYFW https://fashionweekonline.com/public-serv-ce-fall-winter-2026-runway-show-nyfw Sat, 21 Feb 2026 09:54:07 +0000 https://fashionweekonline.com/?p=260240 PUBLIC SERV-CE presented its Fall/Winter 2026 runway show, DARK MATTER, in Tribeca on Friday afternoon, marking the house’s official entry onto the CFDA calendar. Creative Director Raphael Young approached the season as a focused study in black, not as mood but as method.

Precision tailoring, controlled volume, and sculpted outerwear defined the collection, with garments engineered to absorb and refract light in ways that emphasized construction over embellishment. The setting was restrained, allowing proportion, surface, and structure to carry the narrative.

PUBLIC SERV-CE

Sound operated as an equal partner. The brand’s creative collaboration with Grammy Award–winning artist KayCyy materialized in an original composition that gave the runway a steady, immersive pulse, while a live violin performance by Jeremy Green introduced a sharp, almost cinematic counterpoint. The casting underscored Young’s ongoing interest in who inhabits the clothes: NFL players Terrion Arnold, Miles Sanders, Khadarel Hodge, and Joshua Kaindoh walked alongside music artists Lekan, BDifferent and DC The Don. Their presence was not ornamental but aligned with the brand’s premise that tailoring today belongs as much to athletes and musicians as to any traditional fashion figure.

Later that evening, the momentum carried downtown to (SUB)MERCER for the official after party. The DJ lineup, curated by JNR Choi, moved from sets by Little Fax The Machine, Michael Simpson, and Benny to KayCyy, before culminating in a live performance by BDifferent, extending the show’s sonic framework into something looser and more immediate. Rotimi, Jay Critch, Luck, DC The Don, the NFL players from the runway, and members of the wider PUBLIC SERV-CE community gathered in the subterranean lounge, narrowing the distance between the controlled atmosphere of the runway and the rhythms of the city beyond it.

With DARK MATTER, PUBLIC SERV-CE demonstrated a calibrated expansion of its world. The runway emphasized discipline, cut, and material clarity; the after-hours affirmed the network of artists and athletes who give the clothes their charge. Together, they positioned the brand as one intent on building continuity between tailoring and sound, between the controlled environment of the show and the immediacy of the city beyond it.
